Dear Denver Community,

When the days start getting shorter, sunlight and inspiration can both feel like they’re in short supply. Luckily for us at Prosperity Denver Fund, this time of year coincides with our Fall Distribution.

And this one sets a record!

On Tuesday, the Prosperity Denver board of directors approved funding of $16.6 million to 60 of our wonderful partner organizations, our largest single distribution in history.

Each of these partners serves Denver young people as they build their futures: making plans in high school, earning career-building credentials, or attending one of our great Colorado institutions of higher education.

The total number of students that our partners served is also inspiring!

• The number of learners who achieved certificates and apprenticeships this year increased by 86% over last fall’s distribution cycle with 509 students earning credentials.

• The number of students who received scholarships to pursue a college degree grew by 8% to 2,691.

• The 24 organizations who received funding for their work in high school served a total of 19,226 students across Denver, up 29% from 2024.

One thing that’s clear to me when I reflect on their incredible work is that Denver is becoming one of the best places in the US to be an 18-year-old. And we can all feel proud of these results because this funding is made possible through a small portion of sales tax, reflecting our city’s commitment to helping the next generation thrive.
